Boxes Transformed with Paint

No matter how much I de-clutter, it seems like there are still so many little items that are useful to keep on hand. An easy way to keep things looking neat and tidy is to group items and store them in pretty containers or boxes. But storage solutions can be expensive, so if I need containers I head to the thrift stores for budget-friendly solutions.

I found these boxes at a local thrift store for $1. I really liked the shape of the boxes, but the brown and orange color scheme with vegetables wasn't working for me. I used left-over paint and repainted the interior of the boxes with Paris Grey and used Old White on the exterior and handles. Acrylic paints would also work well. I used 220-grit sand paper to lightly distress the edges. It always amazes me how a little bit of paint can make a big impact
